Where to go for a quality engagement ring where conflict diamonds are not sold?

I’m interested in purchasing an engagement ring, and I want to find something of extremely high quality. I’m thinking Tiffany, only because I don’t know what else to do. However, I’m deeply concerned about avoiding “conflict diamonds”. Any advice?

In the US, it is illegal to trade and sell “conflict” diamonds. So if you are buying your stone from a legitimate jeweler in the US, you don’t even have to think about that.
Go to an AGS affiliated independent jeweler in your area. Their standards of service are much higher, and the diamonds they sell go through a much tougher scrutiny then the big national chains, including places like Tiffanys… plus you’re not paying a premium for the name….
Good Luck!
