I would like to know the number of diamonds currently in the US. People receive diamonds for engagement/weddings/self-gift/family stone/other.
I would like to know what is the aggregate number (not the new one being sold every year). Almost every family/person has diamond. I want to know the total number.
If you know the break-down by carat, this is even better.

It is in the hundreds of millions. There is no way to possibly know the total. Every married couple has at least one and probably many.
