What do the numbers in red diamonds on trucks’ liquid tanks mean?

I know that the numbers (usually 3-4 digits) enclosed in a red diamond on the back and sides of truck tanks indicate exactly what liquid is inside. Does anybody know where I can find a listing of these numbers and what they stand for?

What is the difference between mined diamonds, lab-created diamonds, synthetic diamonds, and cubic zirconia?
