Why are polar diamonds considered the best quality in the world?

What is it that makes the Canadian diamonds the best quality in the world? I was told it has to do with gravity in the poles and the weight of glaciers.

I also have a 1971 gold whitnauer watch with 2 diamonds where the 12 and 6 would be any idea on value?

it has never been worn, it still has the original box with instuction manual. the watch has no numbers just a diamonds in the the 12 and 6 o’clock positions.

Besides the obvious, not buying a ring @ all or buying a cz… what are some ways to make sure diamonds are conflict free? What about simulated diamonds? What does that mean?
